The American Bald Eagle is a Bird of Prey and a Scavenger. Sometimes they take food away from other birds or they dive into the water, skim it, and pick up a fish. It depends on the amount of food available to eat. Both Male and Female birds hunt for food. They may also mate for life. When nesting they both pick up sticks and softer material to make the nest. It can be up to 180’ above in a tree or cliff. They can have 1 to 3 eggs and they can be sat on (incubated) by both parents. Also fed by both parents. At 10-12 weeks (about 3 months) those parents push those kids from that height out into the wild blue yonder! Thanks mom and dad! Don’t you hope you got all the right equipment with that push! Boom!
